Applications to volunteer to act as Scrutineers for other voting

The Regional Board intends to submit the following questions and bylaws for vote on Saturday, November 16, 2002.

    "Are you in favour of the "Electoral Area A Port Theatre Contribution Local Service Area Bylaw No. 1318, 2002" which, if enacted, would establish an annual contribution of $13,900 to contribute towards the Port Theatre?"
  • Bylaw No. 1319 Referendum Question [download PDF application form]
    "Are you in favour of the "Electoral Area B Port Theatre Contribution Local Service Area Bylaw No. 1319, 2002" which, if enacted, would establish an annual contribution of $13,915 to contribute towards the Port Theatre?"

    "Are you in favour of the "Electoral Area C Port Theatre Contribution Local Service Area Bylaw No. 1320, 2002" which, if enacted, would establish an annual contribution of $13,820 to contribute towards the Port Theatre?"

"Are you in favour of the "Electoral Area E Port Theatre Contribution Local Service Area Bylaw No. 1322, 2002" which, if enacted, would establish an annual contribution of $19,950 to contribute towards the Port Theatre?"
Applications to volunteer to act as scrutineers (not paid positions) for voting with respect to this question, will be received at the offices of the Regional District of Nanaimo at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, B.C. between 9:00 a.m. on October 25, 2002 and 4:00 p.m. on November 4, 2002 and during that period, the applications shall only be received during regular office days and hours excluding holidays. Only applications from individuals entitled to vote as electors within Electoral Areas A, B, C, D or E can be considered. Application forms are available at the offices of the Regional District or on the RDN Website.
