Oil to Heat Pump
This program encourages homeowners in RDN Electoral Areas and the District of Lantzville to transition from oil heating to heat pumps. The rebate is an additional incentive from the RDN for those who complete the upgrade from oil to heat pump and are eligible for the provincial Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program administered by City Green Solutions. Eligibility

Applicants must be homeowners in an RDN Electoral Area or the District of Lantzville.

How to Receive Your Rebate

Applicants must provide the following documentation in order to receive the $250 rebate:
  • A copy of the completed provincial Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program Application Form. The provincial Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program offers up to $1700 rebate per home and is administered by City Green Solutions.
  • A copy of the pre-retrofit and post-retrofit EnerGuide home energy assessments. (Up to $350 additional rebate is available from the RDN. For more details, please click here. )
Submission must be made to the Regional District of Nanaimo by email, mail or in person at the RDN Administration Building:
