Emergency Program
The RDN Emergency Program is critical to effectively preparing for, response to, and recovering from, various emergencies within the region when they occur.Our staff work with partners and stakeholders including the Province of BC, other local governments, local first nations, local first responders, and many other community organizations, with a focus on emergency preparedness programs and training for the RDN as an organization, training and coordination of emergency program volunteers, and developing and promoting personal, neighbourhood and organizational emergency preparedness throughout the Regional District of Nanaimo.
