Fires in RDN Parks
The only fires allowed in RDN parks and trails are those lit in designated fire pits at Horne Lake Regional Park and Descanso Bay Regional Park campgrounds. See below for current information on summer campfire bans at the two campgrounds, and on the smoking ban brought down at all parks and trails during times of high fire risk.

Important Notes:
- The RDN encourages all users of parks and trails on Vancouver Island to use caution when in the forest, to be aware of fire hazards and to obey fire regulations. Never drop a burning cigarette or other burning substances in the forest.
- To report a wildfire call 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 on most cellular networks.

- Park Use Regulation Bylaw 1399 regulates all activities within RDN community and regional parks including fire.
