60th Annual QB Ocean Mile Swim

Take part in this long standing community event on Sunday, August 19th, that celebrates the beauty of our oceanfront community of Qualicum Beach. All levels of fitness and those who just want to support participants are welcome. The one mile course runs along the shoreline of picturesque Qualicum Beach. Registration is free and starts at 1:00 pm. The swim starts at 3:00 pm.

River's Edge Community Market and Picnic and Play

Calling all young entrepreneurs! Join us at the River's Edge Community Market and Picnic and Play.

Young inventors, crafters, artists, farmers, and creators are invited to bring your wares and artistry to the Community Park on August 24 to showcase for your neighbours. RDN Recreation and Parks summer leaders will be in attendance with carnival games and information on our Fall and Winter Programs, and Parks staff will be there to talk about and get input on the future of River's Edge Community Parks.

Parents and neighbours, bring your picnic (propane bbqs welcome), check out the young talent, and learn more about what RDN Recreation and Parks has to offer.

  • Market set-up (vendors and parents only) at River's Edge Community Park (old mailbox location) 4:00-5:00pm
  • Market and picnic and play open 5:00-8:00pm
