ADMINISTRATOR�S REPORT

Recreation Facilities & Sportsfield Usage Survey.

MOVED Director Korpan, SECONDED Director Krall,:

1. That the survey results be received for information.

2. That the Regional District and City of Nanaimo staff meet to review the terms of the Agreement with respect to the following issues and report back to the Board with its recommendations:
n the inclusion of participants in recreation facility user groups in the survey data;
n the inclusion of participants from outside of the contributing area within the survey data.

A recorded vote was requested.

The motion CARRIED with Directors Holme, Hamilton, Quittenton, Sherry, Sperling, Macdonald, Holdom, Beech, Elliott, Krall, Korpan, Rispin and Klee voting in the affirmative and Directors Haime and McLean voting in the negative.

The Chairperson noted that the following item must be brought forward from the Committee of the Whole Agenda as it reflects a possible change in the Annual Budget.

Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Options Review � Qualicum Bay/Dunsmuir, Bowser and Extension.

MOVED Director Quittenton, SECONDED Director Sherry, that funding for the wastewater treatment and disposal pre-design study in Electoral Area �H� be allocated from the general feasibility fund.

Annual Budget Bylaw No. 1295.

MOVED Director Krall, SECONDED Director Rispin, that a 2002 budget which requisitions $20,474,104 in taxes be approved.

MOVED Director Quittenton, SECONDED Director McLean, that funds in the amount of $4,500 allocated to noise control in Electoral Area �H� be deferred from the 2002 Annual Budget.
