CALL TO ORDER

DELEGATIONS

Louis Lapi, re Special Permits for Cassidy Speedway.

Mr. Lapi spoke in opposition to the issuance of a special event permit for Cassidy Speedway.

Jim Pelk, Spruston Enterprises Ltd., re Special Event Permit Applications.

MOVED Director McLean, SECONDED Director Stanhope, that Mr. Pelk be permitted to address the Board.

Mr. Pelk advised that if the special events application for Cassidy Speedway is approved, they plan to follow-up with the neighbourhood to discuss the issues of noise, litter and traffic control. Mr. Pelk thanked the Board members for their support.

ADMINISTRATION

Special Event Permit Application � Area �C� - Spruston Enterprises Ltd.

Mr. Daniels advised that an amendment to the Court Order to delay the removal of the racetrack facilities for one year had been agreed to by the Courts.

MOVED Director McGuffie, SECONDED Director McNabb, that the Capital City Kart Club be permitted to hold their go-kart practice racing sessions on May 8^th and 9^th, 1999 between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday.

MOVED Director Korpan, SECONDED Director Hamilton that the motion be amended to include "with traffic control at the blind spot on Spruston Road".

CARRIED

The question was called on the main motion as amended.

A recorded vote was requested.

The motion CARRIED with Directors Little, Duncan, Rispin, McGuffie, McNabb, Savage, Stanhope, McLean, Korpan and Hamilton voting in the affirmative, and Directors Luchtmeijer, Duggan, Loomis, Garnish and Holme voting in the negative.

MOVED Director Hamilton, SECONDED Director Korpan that before any further permits are approved for Cassidy Speedway by the Board that a racetrack spokesperson consult with the residents of the area.
